Ice cream was invented by the Chinese around the year 700, and a tribute to the "King Tang" of "Shang Dynasty".
Ice cream is made by a handful of snow with milk and fruit juice and honey. Ice cream for King called xuebaite . Due to the opening of trade relations between China and Italy, then Marco Polo (from Italian) carrying recipe ice cream to his country.
In contrast to the ice cream for king , ice cream in Italy is made from syrup and blended with ice. Ice cream became popular throughout Europe. In America a new ice cream popular in the 19th century along with the machine of an ice cream maker.
In Southeast Asia, like Indonesia and Malaysia, we know the Ice Puter made of coconut milk without using cream.
I know some of the popular ice cream in a many country (which I have ever tried) :
1. In Japan : Ice cream is made from green tea and red bean. And also ice cream made from mochi.
2. In Turkey : Ice cream made from goat's milk with the roots of wild orchids in Turkey.
3. In India : Ice cream made from buffalo milk and flavorings (mango, cardamom, saffron).
4. In America : Ice cream made from cookies, caramel and nuts.
5. In France : Ice cream with alcohol.
6. In Italy : Ice cream with lemon and orange flavors.
