Rainbow
Did anyone ever see the rainbow ?
Or are there who have never know to see it ?
Rainbow is an optical and meteorogical phenomenon in the form of multicolored light parallel to one another that looked at the sky or other medium .
In the sky, a rainbow appears as an arc light with a tip led to the horizon at some point a light rain .
Rainbow can be seen only in the rain along with the sun shining , but from the opposite side of the observer .
Kind of rainbow that ever happens is..
1. Natural Rainbow of six colors : Red , Orange , Yellow , Green , Blue , and Purple (in Indonesian language is called : MEJIKUHIBINIU) .
2. Circular Rainbows
  • This rainbow is really looks like a perfect arc (with a radius of exactly 42 degress)
3. Secondary Rainbows
  • Primary rainbow, often accompanied by a secondary rainbow is usually thinner and fainter than the primary rainbow .
  • Secondary rainbow is known for certain characteristics, the spectrum is shown in reverse order from a primary rainbow .

 4. Red Rainbows
  • Red Rainbows are usually seen at dawn or dusk when the thickness of the Earth's atmosphere filters the blue, looks more like a trickle of red or orange light reflect and refract the water .
  • The result is a rainbow with a red tip spectrum .
5. Sundogs
  • The most frequently seen low in the sky on a sunny winter day . Sundogs occurs when the sun is shining through ice crystal high in the atmosphere .
  • Sundogs red on the inside and purple on the outside with the rest of them crowded spectrum .
6. Fogbows
  • Fogbows more rarely seen than usual of the rainbow, because certain parameters that must be adjusted to create them . The light source must be behind the observer and down to earth .
  • Also, the fog behind the observer must be very thin so the sun can shine through the thick fog ahead .
7. Waterfall Rainbows
  • Waterfall mist mixed into the atmosphere constant air flow continuously, regardless of the weather . This makes the photographers often capture these images . I've seen in Coban Rondo , Batu .
8. Fire Rainbows
  • Rainbow is not made of fire , the name for this beautiful optical is effect is "circumhorizontal arc" . This phenomenon can be seen only in certain specific conditions :
  1. Cirrus clouds , which act like prisms should at least be at a height of 20.000 feet
  2. The Sun should highlight when they are at a height of 58-68 degrees .
9. Moonbows
  • Moonbows are partners to the lunar rainbow . They are also much more difficult to see because the rain storm had passed .
10. Reversed Rainbow
  • Upside down rainbow was influenced by conditions upper atmosphere .
  • That reversal of the rainbow arch and its color is due to the high composition of ice cyrstals found in the atmosphere .
  • Then, the light received by the ice crystal is reflected back into the sky . Inverted rainbow colors are not to different from the ordinary rainbow . On the horizon was red . Then a yellow and green fluorescent . At the end of the blue .
This is info from me in this afternoon :)
See ya in my next post :)
