You all must have known about Indonesia isn't it ?
I live in country that has been stretched from 95 degrees - 141 degrees East longitude and 6 degrees north latitude - 11 degrees latitude south . (Its right? I not remember , hahaha )

And Indonesia is an archipelago area different but still a unity .
Then where the origin of the name of Indonesia ?

The name of Indonesia was first discovered by an expert on British ethnology of James Richardson Logan in 1850 .
Indonesia is also the term used also by G.W. Earl in the field of ethnology that call Indonesians and Melayunesians for residents Malay Archipelago .

12 years later, in 1862 Indonesian terms used by English people named Maxwell in his article entitled "The Island of Indonesia" , of course is related to earth science . Indonesia is increasingly popular term when Adolf Bastian use these terms in 1884 .

Indonesian word itself comes from the Latin word "indus" which mean Hindia and the Greek word "nesos" which means islands , which are derived from the word nesioi (plural) means that the islands .
Understanding the Indonesian word means Hindia Islands .

Indonesia and the term officially used as the name of our country on 17 August 1945 with the proclamation of Indonesian independence .
